On one of my rare moments of tuning in NPR these days, I happened to catch a statement read by the local announcer as filler before the hour, that said something like this: a poll was recently taken that found that an overwhelming majority of NPR listeners SUPPORTED (that was the term used) companies who sponsored NPR. Wow. Seems like a worthy way to contribute to corporate charity.

Sounds like wisdom from the protean mind of Frank Luntz himself, what with soft words like 'support' and 'company' in lieu of the dirtier word 'corporation', and all. (Companies always seem smaller and more folksy than huge nasty corporations.)

Has anyone else heard this brave new declaration?
